Super Bowl LV - The Countdown Has Begun!

Super Bowl LV - The Countdown Has Begun!

Whether you’re gonna be tuning in for the two best teams this year in the American Football or simply for the half-time show, you’re going to need fuelling to stay up until the early hours.

The big kick off is set to start past a lot of your bed times, with the first punt scheduled for 11:30pm, and there being a number of different build-up shows, with some channels even dedicating a whole day for the coverage. That’s how big a game this is.

So whilst a lot of you might have a load of party food lined up to watch this game, consisting of all sorts of rubbish from crisps and dip to chocolate and cola. Who says these snacks have to be heavily unhealthy and not nutritious? Why not simply combine the ease of snacking instead of cooking, and time saving elements with one of our microwave meals. All you need to do with our meals is put it in the microwave for around 3 minutes, and once you have ensured it’s piping hot and cooked thoroughly throughout, start eating it!

The Match
The reigning champions Kansas City Chiefs go into the match the heavy favourites, as they brag 14-2 seasonal form, which is a lot better than the Tampa Bay Bucaneers’, as they have only made it this far after being a wildcard team from the National Football Conference. However, the form of the Bucs has drastically improved recently, as they defeated Washington, followed by a revenge victory against the Saints, and a surprise victory over the Green Bay Packers which cemented their place on the big time.

Now although the Chiefs are entering the game as favourites, if there’s one player that knows how to win a Superbowl, it’s the Bucs’ quarterback and one of NFL’s all-time greats, Tom Brady. Brady has won 6 Superbowls throughout the course of his career, including as recently as 2 seasons ago, when his former side, the New England Patriots defeated the Los Angeles Rams 13-3, in a defensive and tactically astute match.

The Half-Time Show
One of the biggest names in the modern day music over the past couple of years has been announced to perform on the mainstage for the Half-time show this Sunday, as The Weeknd is scheduled to light up the city of Tampa for this highly decorated show. Last year over 104 million people watched Shakira and Jennifer Lopez, and with the sport becoming more and more popular around the globe each year, we’re expecting that number to increase once again. This isn’t the only big name act performing at this years’ event though. As Miley Cyrus will headline the NFL TikTok Tailgate that’ll see the pregame festivities hosted for the 7,500 vaccinated health care workers that will be in attendance for the game, a nice little gesture from the NFL in rewarding the hardworking and dedicated staff that have put their lives on the line over the past 12 months, helping people fight the deadly COVID-19 Coronavirus.
However, there is allegedly another superstar guest featured. Now this hasn’t been officially announced, but there’s many strong rumours on the internet that the NFL are trying to line up a second guest to join The Weeknd on the stage at half time. Could it be Miley making a return for the crowd? Could it be the heavily linked Ariana Grande? Drake maybe? Who knows.
